After
careful evaluation, we are introducing a very high concentration
whey protein isolate CP-2 (92.7%), that is lactose, carbohydrate,
sugar and flavor free.
Whey
is a co-product of cheese manufacturing.
It contains a rich mixture of proteins with wide ranging
functional, nutritional and bioactive properties.
The major proteins of whey are alpha-lactalbumin and
beta-lactoglobulin, which account to 70 to 80% of total whey
proteins. Other
protein components include serum albumin, lactoferrin, lactoperoxidase,
immunoglobulins, growth factor and numerous bioactive peptides
and enzymes.
The
biological value of whey proteins is higher than that of many
other high quality dietary proteins such as egg, beef or soy.
Whey is rich in cystein and methionine.
These sulfur-containing amino acids are important because
they maintain antioxidant levels in the body.
Whey proteins have been shown to stimulate the immune
system, have protective effect on the colon, controls cholesterol,
increase bone strength, aids in the treatment of obesity and
is bifidogenic.
Several
studies have shown that cow’s milk proteins may stimulate the
growth of Bifidobacterium species.
Petschow and Talbott (1,2) demonstrated that alpha-lactalbumin
and lactoferrin were potent growth promoters for several Bifidobacterium
species. Lactoferrin
also has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal activities
(3,4) and is found in higher concentrations in mother’s milk..
PRODUCT
DESCRIPTION

whey protein isolate (CP-2) is a unique, natural and pure bovine
dairy protein powder comprised of:
53% beta-lactoglobulin, 23% of alpha lactalbumin, 12% immunoglobulins,
7% serum albumin, 1.5% lactoferrin, 0.5% lactoperoxidase, 3% glycomacropeptides.
CP-2 is not denatured, is lactose free, has a bland flavor
and is full of amino acids.
100 gms of CP-2 contains 94.2 grams of 19 amino acids.
Total protein content is 92.7%.
Our
whey protein powder, being lactose, carbohydrate, sugar and flavor
